Info on sports facilities (tennis, football, chess) for children in morningside

Hello,
Can anyone recommend sports clubs in South Morningside. My son is 7 and particularly interested in football, chess and tennis but it would be great to hear of any other facilities too.

You can do tennis on meadows in summer with Edinburgh leisure or falcon (newbattle terrace). Dependent on School do they not have a Saturday football club - Gillespies and Bruntsfield certainly do.

The council leisure centre at craiglockhart is also the Scottish tennis centre for sport Scotland.
It’s really quite close to parts of morningside.

Play2 learn is good for football lessons. DS goes there every saturdays - they do lessons at Harrison Park and Dovecot park.
