We are duck-snappingly excited to have a family ticket to this summer’s world exclusive Dinosaurs of China Exhibition at Wollaton Hall, to offer as a prize.

  • Family tickets are for two adults and two children aged 5+ (under-5s go free) and do not include parking charges. Date and time of use is open but subject to availability.

‘The Dinosaurs of China exhibition will tell the story of a dinosaur revolution.

New fossil discoveries in China over recent years have revolutionised our understanding of dinosaurs’ appearance, behaviour and evolution. We’ve hand-picked some of the most spectacular new fossils from China for this world exclusive exhibition, bringing them to Europe for the first time.

Dinosaurs of China will present some of the best preserved dinosaur fossils from anywhere in the world: not just the bones, but also soft parts including skin and feathers.

Many of the species on display are new to science, only discovered and named in the last 20 years, and some as recently as 2015.

Some things never change: many dinosaurs were giant, scaly, ground-shakers.

Some of the towering skeletons in the exhibition will be among the tallest ever seen in the UK.

However, this view of dinosaurs is now part of a more diverse picture. Many dinosaurs were tiny, some species had feathers, and a number of species even evolved flight. These feathered-flyers eventually evolved into birds. Birds are dinosaurs that learned how to fly.

We invite you to explore the evidence for yourself – you may never look at birds in the same way again!'

The fact that Andy of Andys dinosaur adventures is doing a day visit or perhaps the animatronic Dino which looks amazing!

hutchy73 · 24/06/2017 23:26

The most exciting thing would be to see the children's reaction to the dinosaurs

EnglishGirlApproximately · 26/06/2017 09:27

The most exciting thing would be seeing my Dino mad to get up close to the fossils and learn more about donosaurs

Zeezeefae · 26/06/2017 19:27

For us the most exciting thing about the dinosaurs exhibition is learning about all the new dinosaur species that have only just been discovered and seeing my kiddies faces when they get to see more than just the dinosaur bones, but see what their skin and feathers actually looked like. Seeing computer generated dinosaurs on tv looks amazing but you can't beat the real thing!

Seeing the giant towering skeletons

newham100 · 29/06/2017 01:28

That it's the first exhibition of its kind in Europe! So thrilled that my hometown has been chosen to host such an occasion :)

It would be amazing to take my very excited dinosaur daft son to meet the Chinasaurs! There are so many new & different things to see,do & discuss- but the skeletons will probably be a highlight for him.

dawn23e · 29/06/2017 07:03

My daughter is learning all about dinosaurs and fossils so I'm excited about learning alongside her and sharing this with her, especially the new discoveries:)

It's exciting that our home town has been chosen to host this world exclusive exhibition

ng14 · 29/06/2017 16:52

I'd be very excited to see the giant skeleton, always wanted to see dippy in London but our own Nottingham version would be even better!

kateclarke · 29/06/2017 21:43

I grew up in Wollaton and still live a couple of miles away. I am so proud that we have been chosen to host the dinosaurs and myself and DD would love to see them.

desperatelyseekingcaffeine · 30/06/2017 06:23

My son would be so excited to see all of it especially the animatronic dinosaur! I know more about dinosaurs since having him than I ever did!
