Toddler friendly hairdressers Rayleigh / Basildon / Southend / Chelmsford / Leigh way

Just that really. We've been going to a place in Leigh which would be brilliant (kids sit in little cars for the cut, Peppa Pig on a loop on a TV, snack as a treat afterwards, basically DD is in heaven, reasonably priced) but for the fact the perfectly kind woman who does the cut takes off the tiniest amount possible so you end up going 'that's great but a bit shorter please. A bit shorter please. A bit shorter please.' Last time we went I ended up having to cut DD's fringe the same day as, once her hair had dried in its natural position half of it was a different length.

Any recommendations for toddler friendly hairdressers around SE Essex please? We're happy to travel a bit if she'll be happy / not scream the place down like she's being murdered ;)

Is this Shelby's in Leigh (very close to small Waitrose). If not, that's where I'd recommend but it does sound like you are already going there!

I'd just be clearer up front about what you want, show them, take a pic of it at the length you want. Better that way round than too short.

I get my kids cut at EllaConnor hair opposite Leigh library. They don't have fancy chairs and toys but they're lovely with the children and always manage to cut nicely, even when the toddler is being wriggly.
