Does anyone have experience of these (undersubscribed) north Bristol primaries

We are moving to north Bristol soonish, and are looking for a school place for our reception aged daughter. The following schools seem to have places - does anyone have any experience of them?

Brunel Field Primary
Fairlawn Primary
Cabot Primary
Colston Primary

Also St Bonventure's Catholic Primary (although we are not religious so not sure how well this would work).

Also, the house that we are considering putting an offer on is about 100m from Bishop Road School - close enough to be 'within catchment' for 2016, but obviously not very useful for an in-year admission. Has anyone got experience of how fast a waiting list might move for this school?

Thank you!!

Of your list I know of friends with dc at all but Cabot and all are positive about the schools.

Brunel Fields is new build and lovely - I considered for my dc when it first opened but was put off by their not being any older pupils. It is now full throughout so this isn't an issue.

Fairlawn - my experience is of someone whose dc us there while Dolphin School (same academy trust) is built. But she is v positive about the facilities and staff - just not sure if latter are Dolphin or Fairlawn staff.

Colston's is lovely. Probably, along with Fairlawn, more socially and ethnically diverse than Brunel or Bishop Road. I don't know how the split site works, all my friends are at the "original" school but Reception might be at the new build annex.

If you can, visit them all and see which you like. All are good but different feel iykwim?

On a practical level, if you live by Bishop Road, Brunel Fields is probably easiest / nicest school run.

Bishop Road list does move. I have 3 dc there. Eldest is in class of 31 in Y5 with leavers / joiners in Reception, Y2 and Y3. Middle child has 28 in class due to leavers in y2 & 3, neither have been replaced. Y1 child not had any change yet. Generally, you'll get in as a 31st class member in Y3 if not early, but with 4 forms of entry I suspect at least 1 or 2 places come up a year.

This is so helpful, thanks BoredinBishopston! Helpful to know that the Bishop Road list does move, the other schools look nice, but our preference would really be for our most local school.
