Also worth mentioning that Clarendon park gets noisy at night due to all the bars etc on queens road.. Plus recently a lot of trouble down there, someone I know was drinking in a bar and got spiked and woke up beat up in hospital! Not the sort of place I'd want kids being brought up. Anywhere close to Leicester town you are going to get this sort of shite as Leicester is rough. I'm in a village out the way and won't even go into town anymore.

I've lived in lots of places and I don't think Leicester is rough at all. Feel completely safe here on my own with 4yr old dd. I wouldn't let her go drinking in the bars mind Hmm

i think all the places have good and bad….i lived close to brixton few years ago and i survived :) I would say peckam and a good part of south london is rough,i liked a lot caredon park area and stoneygate, like the villages too is just I'm not used to live in a village but overall i did like leicester.
Don't know if leicester is rough but believe me teenagers in london are wild…. and getting closer to the teen age with my eldest i would like to avoid that ….but crucial point is that london is too expensive to buy properties! It has gone mad! A one tiny bedroom for 300k…..
we looked in kent but less keen and less jobs mostly by the seaside… of course if i win the lottery i would stay in london …maybe

and her : can the dog stay somewhere else ? or just say you don't have a dog …. Hmm
