Local Derby junior doctors will again be running a day of free sessions on 7th April to teach life-saving skills to parents of babies and young children in Derby. These sessions are taking place as we are having to take industrial action, a situation that we very much don't want to be in, and we're therefore trying to do something constructive with this time.
We will be holding 4 sessions with a maximum of 30 people per session:
- Session 1: 10:00-11:00
- Session 2: 11:30-12:30
- Session 3: 13:00-14:00
- Session 4: 14:30-15:30
This is a session being voluntarily run by Doctors. You will not receive any formal certification from attending but we hope you will gain some skills! We will cover basic life support and choking, with demonstrations and opportunities to practice techniques on mannequins.
Refreshments will be available and we'll bring a few toys to try entertain your little ones although we regret we will not be able to provide any formal child care or supervision. We are really sorry, we are aware that it is holidays for some, but due to space we will not be able to accommodate school age children. Please do come along and share this event with other parents in Derby.
Following feedback with access from the first session, and positive reports from last time, we are again holding it at The Spot who are kindly donating a room for us in support of Junior Doctors.

We will then confirm your place and time slot. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Please do not panic if you do not recieve a confirmation email straight away - it is not automated - it relies on when we get chance to check and email. All the responses are time stamped though from when you press submit so places will be allocated fairly.
