Just come back from visiting the new farmer's market on the play ground of Derwentwater Primary School.
Spent a fortune, had lovely food, bought very smelly goats cheese, mango hot sauce, fresh rhubarb and loads of cookies and met up with loads of friends while enjoying the sunshine and the band.
Fantastic addition to the neighbourhood and well worth a visit.
Stands included: vegetables, Ringden Farm apple juice, fresh flowers, apples & pears, delicious goats cheese stand, olives, sweet/savoury tart and wrap stall, italian deli stand with fantastic sausages, polish sausages and pieroki stand, thai hot foods, coffee and juice bars, local mini brewery and wine stands, butchery stands and free range eggs and honey, a large variety of breads etc. etc.
It is open every Saturday from 10 am till 3 pm. Parking in the road.
