Thank you for reading this request! We are really interested in finding out what you think that student doctors should learn about labour and birth experiences. I teach Oxford medical students and I am keen to make sure that our teaching mirrors what women think is important.

We will collect all the responses we receive and use them to improve our existing curriculum, aiming to give the doctors of the future a better understanding of what women need from them.

We are working with Mumsnet to develop this and will discuss and agree our report and changes to the curriculum with them. If you are happy to share your contact details with us, we will check the report with those of you who respond, to ensure that you are happy with our interpretation of your comments, the level of detail included, and have your input on any suggested revisions.

We undertook similar projects with the Miscarriage Association, and Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust, and they have helped us to create a patient-centred approach to our teaching on early pregnancy and gynae oncology.

All responses will be used anonymously.

Thank you very much for taking the time to think about this and respond.
