Jennifer Siegeris will shortly step into Mrs Meadwells Footsteps and take over the running of the school. The summer term, commencing on 11 April 2016, will see Footsteps become a branch of The Siegeris School of Dance.
There is a long tradition of dance classes at The West Wimbledon Society Hall – or ‘Avenue Hall’ as it is known. A school, established in 1952 by Brenda Cass, continued for many years until it became a branch of The Jean Hart Academy of Dance. Maryrose Meadwell took over the school in 1983 renaming the dance school Footsteps. Nearly 33 years later, the tradition is set to continue...
The Siegeris School of Dance, with its happy environment, has a professional and enthusiastic approach with a high standard of teaching under the direction of Jennifer Siegeris (RAD Teaching Diploma, RAD RTS, AISTD DDE).
The school offers a variation of ballet, modern, tap, contemporary and jazz classes for children and adults. The dance school run ballet classes in the Royal Academy of Dance Graded and Vocational classes, and modern and tap classes with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance, encouraging the joy of movement in children from 3 years of age.
