Youth Activity club for 14-19 SEN young people

I really want to get a Club organised for young people with SEN as I believe there is a real need in the local community but I need some feedback from parents who might want this/ also young peoples views at what things they would like to do.
I am a qualified Teacher with 15 yrs of experience in mainstream and SEN schools. It is something that could be a youth club kind of activity or an alternative education (non formal) programme in the day. Looking at independent skills / leisure activities etc
Would love your feedback

It's a hard one I think, my 14yo son is dyslexic, so more of learning issue. He hates the idea of being singled out for stuff because of it, he's not ashamed of it and works very well with it, just does not like it being highlighted in such an obvious way. He gets fantastic support and help at his secondary school and does not feel the need for anythine over and above this. I've also found things like this in the past to be quite negative and a little soul destroying I am sorry to say. We went to a group for children who were dyspraxic when he was a primary school and they way they were treated was so negative, as if they had some hideous blight that would ruin their lives forever! I think more focus has to be on everyday help and intergration into regular everyday life. I am sorry if that is not what you want to hear, just based on my own personal experience.
