is it a good place to live with children?
Which primary schools are good?
Any nice surrounding villages?
How is commuting into town?

Where is the best place to look for vacancies? Websites?

Cambridge is a great place to have children; there's lots going on. www.rightmove.co.uk would be a good place to start to see how far your budget will go in various locations.

Whereabouts in town will you be commuting to? Are you prepared to cycle, and how far? By car is generally a bit of a nightmare!

In a village, do you prefer lots of amenities or somewhere quiet and attractive?

Hi, I have just relocated to Cambridge from Ireland via chicago! I have 2 toddler boys and would love to meet other people new to town and those that know a bit about where to go with young kids! We've also recently searched properties and villages so if you need any assistance please ask. :-)

Ely is a good option- cheaper than Cam but an easy 15 min train commute. Schools are good and enough shops and amenities to not get bored!
