We'll be staying in the Kings Lynn/Swaffham area soon. Can anyone recommend day trips/places to visit. We like beaches, pottering around the shops, walks, historic buildings, eating out and anything fun.

Castle Acre and Castle Rising our lovely villages to visit and look around. Wells-next- the-sea is a great seaside town too. You will find plenty to do in Sunny Norfolk :)

Castle Rising is brilliant (and if you are there beginning of August they have a medieval reenactment on)

The whole of North Norfolk for beaches

Norwich is less than an hour from Kings Lynn and has loads of stuff including GoGo Dragon trail which will take you on a walk around the city, dragon hunting obviously Grin

It's a day trip but if you have dc under 10 check out Bewilderwood

And of course Sandringham is close by and a lovely place to visit and spend the day.

There is also a Wetlands Centre - I've not yet been but will be going in a couple of weeks.
