Plenty of Primary School Places in Kingston?

Yesterday, in residential property development meeting in Kingston Town centre, we have been told there are plenty of primary school places in Kingston, all within the walking distance from the town centre Kt1. Is this your experience?. I do know each church school do manage its own waiting list and schools decide their own admissions policies but people have interesting ways of manipulating statistics. Please let me know and i will relay your response/experience to developers..

They're looking at past figures which cover all years of a school so yes there will be some unfilled places in each year group. As a governor for Latchmere I can assure you that Kingston needs school places in the coming years. May I suggest you contact Matthew Paul at Achieving for Children (children's services for Kingston and Richmond) as he can tell you all about it.
Can I ask which developer gave you these figures and what do they relate to? I'm standing as the parliamentary candidate in the adjoining constituency of Richmond Park but I live in Kingston so am very concerned about all developments in the town.
Thanks Andree
