It's a nerve-wracking time for many parents, especially as headlines keep reminding us of the Noughties "Baby Boom" which created a population bulge.

The council website says all internet applicants will have an offer by 3.30pm this Thursday April 16, with postal applications being answered on Friday.

Don't forget to accept offers by Thursday April 30, to secure your child's place.

If it's bad news, this is what you need to look at if you're considering appealing against the LEA's decision:

Any appeals need to be in by May 15.

If you're on tenterhooks waiting for a decision, this thread is for you. Come and chat with other parents, share your anxieties or have a say about whether you think the system in Birmingham is working.

I was in this position last year, so here is plenty of Cake Brew and Wine for you all - and good luck!
