Hi! Currently live in Guildford but looking to move from a flat to 3-bed house. Essentially our budget puts us in Bellfields, Park Barn or Kingfield for a three bed or Goldsworth Park / Knaphill for a 2/3 bed.

Which is the best of these options? Does anyone have experience of primary schools in the area (have a 2 year old). We get really mixed reviews about schools Beaufort / St Johns Primary / Stoughton / Weyfield / Knaphill Lower / Barnsbury / Wood Street Village / Kingfield and are so confused!

Please help! We'd love to stay in Boxgrove / Merrow / Burpham area but £330k won't get us somewhere we can afford / is liveable in!

Thanks Smile

I used to work in Woking and I know it a bit. Goldsworth Park covers a large area. The area by the local shopping centre and going further out seem ok, but there are some rough looking council flats closer to the town centre. Park Barn avoid the council estate, which has a bad name. I don't know much about the other areas but they seem ok when I've been through them.

If you do go for just outside Park Barn, I would seriously look at Guildford Grove school. I've done some work in there and was so impressed I seriously considered moving one of mine from their "desirable" primary to there.
