Anyone know of nannies or other on call options for childcare during labour?

Hi
I'm after ideas for childcare cover for DD 3.5 yrs while DH and I head to UCH for labour around June time. First birth was very fast (3 hrs start to finish) and I'm not so keen on homebirth option (as it would really just be for childcare). Have a list of friends but would rather use them as backup to plan A. Have others been in this scenario (all family overseas/likely to be a quick birth) and what have you done?
Thanks

We were in the same situation last year. After much deliberation we asked a couple of my daughter's favourite people from nursery if they could be on call. They were both delighted to help, and convenently lived nearby. They were flexible and willing to come to us or for DD to be dropped off when I went into labour. That's what happened in the end - she was dropped off at 5.30 and went to nursery when it opened. No stress. Our nursery was also very flexible about offering last minute extra days if needed. Obviously this scenario all relies on your DD being at nursery......

Have you tried Riversidecares.

I believe they have an emergency childcare option, might be worth giving them a call.
