nice areas of newcastle to live for single mum on a budget

I live in a lovely affordable village in gateshead and due to the lack of facilities available for my autistic son am moving to newcastle where he will be able to join groups etc, Is west denton a nice area as that is where all his socialising will involve I can only afford a rental income of £450 pcm so jesmond, gosforth, heaton areas are out. Are there any other nice areas to live in the newcastle ward areas that are safe and have good schools with a small budget thank you!

South west Denton, westerhope, chapel house and chapel park are the nicer parts.

Lemington and west Denton are more run down, but still have nice bits. It can vary literally from street to street though. Is it a 2 bed flat your after? I'll see what I can find for you!

This could be ok?

I know this one looks awful from the outside, but the area is ok - it's by a big police station and about 15 / 20 years ago they had a lot of regeneration so built plots of new builds in amongst the council houses. It has improved the area, and your 2 junctions up the a1 from west Denton. Other areas to consider are fenham, but again it can vary from street to street and newburn maybe.
