We are delighted to have two family tickets (up to four people, max two adults) to Wigglegiggle at Nottingham Playhouse, on Tuesday 30th December at 2.45pm, to offer as prizes.

Wigglegiggle is suitable for ages 3-5. Approx. 30 mins long.

'An energetic, wigglesome, gigglesome mashup of words and rhythms and nifty noises designed to engage children’s imaginations and to enchant their eyes and ears!

Inspired by conversations with children themselves, this show takes as a starting point the substantial research around how music and rhythm can develop listening and language skills in this age group. It will excite and intrigue them with what language can do – and what they can do with language.

But most of all, Wigglegiggle promises to delight its audience as it messes around with wonderful words, marvellous music, the silliest of sounds and some very interesting moves!'

The winners will be notified on Monday 22nd December and must respond by 10am on Tuesday 23rd December to claim their prizes.

The winners will be asked to provide their email address, postal address and phone number, to be passed on to Nottingham Playhouse. They will be sent details of future family productions unless they opt out, by telling us, or the Playhouse Box Office.

Nottingham Playhouse invited us to review Wigglegiggle on Tuesday 16th December.

Wordplay and rhyme combined with playful mime, made for an intriguing 30 minutes for a rapt audience of four and five year olds. If anything, the performance could have been a little longer.

This is an introduction to performance poetry, of sorts; the plays on words, and noises, are pitched at the level of the audience, taking them from the funny and familiar to the interesting and imaginative.

The physical theatre; miming, climbing, playing, helped attract everyone's attention and create the imaginative world in which the three characters interacted. Their emerging ‘discussion' flowed around themes of ‘friends', ‘if I was the biggest person in the world' and ‘if I was the smallest person in the world'.

Inspired by conversations with children, this is not an introduction to slam poetry for adults. Nor is it mini-panto, or an opportunity to wiggle and giggle with the performers. As an introduction to the experience of the unexpected and brain-jiggling, that creative theatre can offer, aimed at an audience comfortable with playfulness, it worked its mini magic.
