PhD students who are pregnant around Bristol?

Hi all,
I am a PhD student and I am 5 months pregnant. I was wondering if there are any people out there in similar positions. I recently moved from Sheffield (where my supervision is based) and I used to go to a 'parents in academia' group that was very good. I was wondering if there is a similar thing around here, at the universities and so on.
I am also up for a simple cup a coffee somewhere in Bristol so we can share our worries about combining thesis writing and parenting!

Sorry about the multiple threat! I only meant to publish it once. My first time doing this as you can all guess! :)

Bristol uni or UWE and which department or subject. I do know somebody who managed to write up her thesis and have 2 children while she was doing this! Her children are grown up now though so it was a while ago.
If you are in a STEM subject there is an active AWISE group in the area which may be able to put you in touch with someone in a similar position.

Thanks a lot Crazymum53. That sounds very helpful. I don’t mind which university really, or department, since I am based in Sheffield ‘officially’. I just thought it would be good to get together with people in similar positions around here as I used to do in Sheffield.

Hi rescanes, Old thread I realise but maybe you're still checking. Did you find any good groups? I'm a PhD student at Bristol, about halfway through and due my first baby in August this year. Currently having a mild panic about money as just realised I don't qualify for maternity allowance because I haven't worked enough in the last year (been studying!), and of course how I'm going to find time to write up. What subject / stage are you at? Feel free to PM me if you want to chat.
