Idea of cost of childcare?

This is still in the pre-planning stages, but I'm trying to budget whether we could afford to buy a house and have a baby in the next year or so.
I have tried searching online and most nurseries don't publish their fees on line, or if they do they seem to be out of date.

I'd be really grateful if you could let me know what you pay for full time/4 days/3 days per week childcare in the area to help me work this out.

Also, how difficult/easy did you find this to arrange? Are there waiting lists and if you do go part time is it difficult to get cover for certain days/patterns?

Thank you in advance and hopefully this could be a useful resource for anyone else trying to find this information in future!

A nursery would be around £60 a day. There are waiting lists, some people put the name down before the baby is born. Wednesday is probably the hardest day to find childcare for as lots of people will either work min-weds or weds-fri. Childminder might work out cheaper.
