Experience more treat than trick this Hallowe'en!

Drayton Manor Theme Park, near Tamworth, Staffs, has teamed up with Mumsnet Birmingham to offer you the chance to win a family pass during its Hallowe'en extravaganza.

All you have to do is answer the following question on the thread below:

What's the name of your favourite character from the Thomas the Tank Engine books and films?

The winner will be picked at random and announced at midday on Friday 10 October. The winning family ticket for 4 will be sent in the post and will be valid for the Hallowe'en festivities, until October 31 2014.

The Staffordshire-based attraction is set to end its 2014 season with some fang-tastic fun, and you could be part of it. Taking place from Saturday 18th to Friday 31st October, you are in for a treat this Hallowe'en at Europe’s only Thomas Land™. Thomas and his friends have been hard at work delivering pumpkins and decorating the attraction to make this the spookiest Hallowe'en yet. Children can get involved with pumpkin carving in the Discovery Centre*, and will also get the chance to get up close and personal to some of the animals that take up residence there.

The excitement does not end there; as this fun-filled fortnight will end with one of the biggest fireworks extravaganzas in the Midlands. Taking place on Saturday 1st November and Sunday 2nd November, the fireworks weekend will be hosted by presenters from Free Radio and will culminate in a 25 minute show, all set to music over the lake to give you a truly breathtaking experience.

With the fireworks beginning at 7pm (last admission is 6pm), a whole host of rides will remain open until 9pm, so the fun can continue into the evening.

Drayton Manor Theme Park has a selection of packages available over the Halloween and fireworks events at its 4 star hotel www.draytonmanorhotel.com.

Drayton’s Magical Christmas will also be open on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays from Friday 22nd November to Monday 15th December, then every day from Friday 19th December to Tuesday 23rd December and Saturday 27th December to Wednesday 31st December.

To book tickets, or for more information about the park, visit www.draytonmanor.co.uk or call 0844 472 1960.

*Pumpkin carving is available Monday 27th October to Friday 31st October and is an additional charge of £2. This is on a first come first served basis.

Competition terms and conditions:
Winners may visit Drayton Manor Theme Park on a date of their choosing up until 31st October 2014. A family pass is for 4 people (2 adults and 2 children). Winners will be issued with a ticket which will contain a reference number that must be presented at the ticket booth prior to entry into the park. The prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative is available. The prize will automatically be void if sold, offered for sale or if any attempt or offer is made to transfer the Prize for value. The prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion, including Family, Advanced and Website tickets. Answers to the competition must include bona fide names from the Thomas Tank Engine books or films, or the entry will be voided. Mumsnet T and Cs also apply.

Hiro and Daisy I think.

TiredAsANewt · 29/09/2014 22:29

Victor - I like his sexy accent!

Actually I thought it was a Russian accent, but according to Wikipedia he comes from a sugar plantation in Cuba.

Do you think I'm over-investing? I need to get out more.

Our Drayton Manor winner JodieAnn86 hasn't responded with her contact details. So, according with the terms and conditions, if she's still not been in touch by midday tomorrow (Friday 24 October), I'll be drawing the winner again.

I'll keep everyone posted here tomorrow.
