We are relocating ( from the midands ) in the next month or two and need to know which good schools cater for MLD/ALN in the area? Our daughter is aged 9 year 5. Any advice would be gratefully received. Also which is a good area to live around fontwell or towards fishborne and PO19.
Thanks

Hi Natalie, I am also an older mum and have a daughter recently turned aged 9 and plan to relocate to the chichester in the next couple of months.
It would be really good to hear from you to find out how you've settled in and find out how you've got on.
Kind regards Tracey

hi Natalie
Chichester have two Special needs schools fordwater (east side) St anthonys (west side) both are MLD and SLD but fordwater has more Autistic children and a autistic unit.its worth going to see both as they are both great school and its just a case of gut feelings. My son has Down syndrome and he goes to Fishbourne mainstream primary school since reception and now in year 4 they have been brilliant and he gets 1;1 support./another good mainstream school whom are every inclusive are |Parklands primary which is in the middle of Chichester.good luck x

Thanks holliebob. Apologises for delay in responding but I've been away.
I contacted st Anthony's as they are
nearer to where we will be renting and the LA said a special school would better suit our child's needs. It seems like a really good school but sadly it has no places available at present. We are interested in buying in the fishborne area in the long term and I would therefore be interested in any advice on fishborne or nearby area? Thanks again x
