Dear Mums
In case you don't already know there are plans afoot to change the toilet provision in Victoria Park. The toilets at the tennis club pavilion were closed suddenly earlier in the year, with no consultation, resulting in the loss of three male cubicles and a urinal, four female cubicles and disabled facilities.
In addition to this, capacity at the play area is now also being reduced, which means that total capacity for the entire park will now be just eight cubicles. Yes just eight unisex loos. This will be for all to use (children, elderly, disabled and adults).
There is a petition which asks the council to review their plans for the toilets in Victoria Park. Please PLEASE can I ask that you take a few moments to sign the below petition so that we can all continue to enjoy Victoria Park & the play area without concerns about whether you or your little ones need to go to the loo!
