Broomwood Hall plans to extend to 16 rejected

Broomwood Hall had planned to expand by converting a recently acquired neighbouring building into extra classrooms enabling it to teach girls up to 16 (rather than 13 as now). The Council has just rejected the plans details here. Given that the school has already bought the neighbouring site, an amended application will presumably be submitted.

What do you think? We have lots of prep schools locally but not so many for older children so would this be a welcome addition? Or too disruptive for residents?
