Could you spare a few hours a week to help a struggling family in Sheffield?

CSV (www.csv.org.uk) is running the Volunteers Supporting Families project in Sheffield. The project works by placing volunteers with local families who have one or more children on a child protection or child in need plan and who could benefit from emotional support and practical help in the home.
Volunteers usually visit a family for 2 to 4 hours, once a week for a minimum of 6 months, supporting the family with agreed goals such as encouraging communication in the family, accessing local services or improving boundaries and behaviour in the household.

This is an excellent project and its continuing success will depend on the number and quality of volunteers we are able to recruit to help children and families in Sheffield.
If you are interested in volunteering or would like some more information please contact me on [email protected] or 0114 273 4863
