After a lovely meet-up in July and quite a few people saying they'd like to come another time, it seems time to arrange that other time.

How does Thursday 18th September sound to anyone?

I think our arrangements have become a bit strung out, so I fear earlier posters may have forgotten we were trying to plan anything... are others still around and interested in Thursdays 11th or 25th June?

Hello! Yes I'm still interested. My rota at work has changed so I can't do Thursdays any more. I can do tuesdays any time, or weekends.

Oh I just meant your message on 19 June. I can't do Tuesdays only thurs or Fri for me.

Right, yes, I think the thread had become too strung out so dropped off everyone's 'threads I'm on'.

I've just sent messages to the people who've joined the Nottingham centre meet-up group (under 'Meet-ups') to encourage them to join the discussion. A few people have joined in the last couple of months, so might be interested.

I'd certainly be interested in an evening meet-up soon (drinks / food / cinema perhaps?) so hope that might work for people who can't make a day time one at the moment?

Getting one date set would be a great step forward anyway

Hello ladies, apologies for not participating. Kind of busy with the move but would love to meet up. My LO is only 6 months and we're at the beginningof the weaning so for me, if I bring her woukd have to be from 2.30 till 4.30/5 ish.However in the evening I can do from 5 pm onwards as I'll get my partner to babysit :)

Well, we don't have an overwhelming favourite.

Going by recent responses, only Tandia and I could do a Thursday picnic. If we do a similar outdoor meet-up or something else, in the afternoon, Robbie75 could join us.

Tuesday afternoon would be ok for MrandMrsW but not Tandia and is more constrained for me (have to leave by about 3.45 if in term time).

If we delay the daytime meet-up with children until the summer hols, ng14 might be able to come.

It sounds as though an evening meet-up might work for two or three people.

So, umm, it would be great if one or two more people were to (re)appear and state a preference.

Otherwise, I guess we just name a date, see whether that attracts more interest and go from there

Ok, well, next week isn't brilliant for me as it happens. I'm usually free on Thursdays but dd and I are reviewing Room on the Broom at the Theatre Royal on Thursday afternoon and I'm out in the evening.

It sounds as though a couple more people might be able to make a day time meet-up if it's in the summer hols, which aren't far away now. County hols start on the 23rd, City that weekend, so how about Thursday 30th July?

Or, if there's a feeling of 'just get on with it and we can arrange another one for later in the hols', I could do the 16th or 23rd July.

As for evenings, again 16th, 23rd or 30th work for me, as do most Thursdays in August.

So, my proposal is daytime on the 30th July, evening on either of 16th July or 13th August. I am entirely willing to be swayed be others' preferences though!

I can't do day time 30th July as I'm at some open air cinema thing. I can do any of the evenings though. I'm also free most Thursday's in August.

I can also do Thursday day time with my LO after she's had her lunch, so around 2.30 ish. I can do evening 16th July. I'm on holiday on 13th August.

So evening next Thursday 16th July, then perhaps re-think the daytime date?

Any preferences for a venue? My fall-back suggestion is always Broadway Cinema as it's easy to find, does drinks and (affordable, reliably ok) food and has indoor and outdoor seating. The Mezz bar upstairs is usually quieter. Edin's is nice though.

Brill! I'm in, Thursday eve sounds perfect. The cinema is the one on Broad Street isn't it? I'm new in Nottingham and haven't been out much lol
