Richmond parents: Have your say on improving NHS care for local children

Parents in Richmond are being invited to have their say on improving acute NHS care services for children and young people between the ages 0-18 years old.

Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust's childrens services team are encouraging local parents who live in the borough of Richmond - and have at least one child under the age of 5 - to take part in the open focus group session and share their views and experiences of local health services.

The team wants to hear about what parents and children 'like' or 'dont like' about acute care services that they have used, so that improvements can be made and learning shared with the trusts partner organisations.

Local acute health services include the Walk-in Centre at Teddington Memorial Hospital; Urgent Care Centre at West Middlesex Hospital; local A&E departments; GP surgeries; pharmacies and NHS111.

Nicola Young, paediatric nurse at Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust said: This is your opportunity to share your experiences and thoughts about local NHS services for young children in the borough of Richmond upon Thames.

By getting involved and sharing your ideas about what youd like to see introduced in the future - you will be helping us to improve care services for local children so please do make your voice count!

Dates and venues for the focus group are currently being planned.
