Does anyone in Balham have a drive/parking space they would rent out?

I'm looking for a space around elmfield rd sw17 and all surrounding areas within a 5 min walk.

Thanks in advance

Not me I'm afraid .... if only!

But I wonder if it's worth writing a general note that you can put through letterboxes where people have OSP which looks as though it's unused?

Actually, there are also a number of 'hidden garages' in the area - although I'm not familiar with your side of Balham High Road.

How long do you need it for? There are various websites called something like 'park on my drive' or 'park on my space' etc which might help for a short-term solution.

Thanks Grammy.

I did think of doing a note to pop through people's letterboxes but I'm short of time.
I ended up using 'park at my house'. There's a space just round the corner from where I work.
Only need it this week then maybe a few days here and there.

Glad you found something for the moment!

I've just realised I've been a bit of a numpty here Blush

Do you know that you can buy Residents Visitors Permits www.wandsworth.gov.uk/info/473/street_parking-zones/361/parking_in_wandsworth/5 from Wandsworth Borough Council?

They're not particularly cheap, but they are a reasonably good short-term solution. As long as you have proof of residence, then you can buy them - whether you own a car or not.

You can either do it online, or, if you have the time, go into Balham Library (next to Waitrose) and buy them from there.
