Moving to Bath (Lower Weston) - due in September and looking to meet other mums!

Hi there,

I am expecting my first baby in early September and am due to move to Bath shortly (currently in Bristol). By the time we had found our house in Bath, all of the NCT classes were fully booked and all of the classes like yoga seem to close during the summer!

I would love to meet some other mums/expectant mums in the area that would like to meet up for a coffee to share experiences etc.

Let me know!

Hi Becca,

Congratulations on the pregnancy and house in Bath!

What an exciting time for you!

If you use Twitter, try here for yoga classes.

If you don't: Bath Baby yoga - tel:07824 612987

If they are not what you're looking for, I'm sure they can't point you in the right direction Smile

Hope you're coping with this heat.

Emily

Hi Becca, a house-move and a pregnancy is a lot to handle at once! Hope you're doing ok. Where abouts in Bath are you moving to? We love in a village north of Bath, also moved here from Bristol.

Sorry, just realised you did say where abouts you were moving to in the thread title!

Me again. Just remembered there's a Sure Start centre in Weston which'll be a good place to meet people. I've never been so don't know what it's like though!

Hi bec,

As far as I'm aware the NCT run some bumps and babies play groups....which you wouldn't have to sign up for, I think you just turn up.

Also, they run a postnatal course....which might not be booked up yet?? Even if the antenatal courses are all booked.

Have you asked to be put on a reserve list? There are several courses run at the same time, some in Weston, others in larkhill...so if you don't mind the 10 min drive across town you might be able to go to the other one??

Have a look at the nct bath local pages.

The community midwives at the RUH do someone courses too....you could call them to see if there are any spaces

Community midwives number is 01225 825 973

Thanks both - I hadn't thought of the Children's Centre so will check that out once moved and the baby is here. And I didn't realise that Bumps and Babies existed so have checked that out and it looks good.

Thanks for the suggestions and information!
