Am I imagining it - has BANES council moved street sign and blocked view?

I was doing my usual route down Bloomfield Road to the point where it meets the Wellsway and was a bit perplexed. I couldn't see clearly up the Wellsway to check for traffic because of the street sign (with the names of the road on). I checked with my daughter and she had noticed the same thing, so probably not going mad. I've never had this problem before and can only conclude that they have moved the sign. Both of us have been forced to pull out into the road in potentially dangerous circumstances and we won't be the only ones.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Do BANES hate drivers?

Hello fireside

Thanks for your post. I will have a look next time I'm in the area.

I hate it when these things happen to me, I often doubt my own sanity Grin

To be fair, not everyone may notice. My husband's car is much higher than mine and he doesn't seem to have a problem.

My daughter drives my car and said that she had to look under the sign to see if she could spot any car wheels. Not exactly a safe way to judge an entrance on to a busy road and would you even spot a cyclist or motorbike?

What with bus gate and the new 20 mph speed limits, I'm starting to really resent whoever deals with Bath's roads.

Thought I might as well update this.

The sign went today, so I imagine they had a few complaints.
