Cost of bus if outside catchment area?

Hi we are in north wales, renting and may move 8 miles from my sons usual place of catching the bus, so we are not going to be able to get free travel for him if we DO move. Does anyone know the cost of a bus pass if you are outside the catchment area?

I am not in Wales however my son's school is miles away and not eligible for transport. I spoke to the private bus companies and they wanted £300 a term....I drive him to school :) your best bet is to ring the company.
