We're a family of four, two children aged 4 and almost 2.

There's a pebbly beach near to where we are staying. Any nice sandy beaches? Should we avoid Yarmouth or is it nice?

Are there nice zoos/farms etc? I've heard about a dinosaur park near Norwich - any good for children that age? What's good in Norwich?

Would love to get personal reccommendations.

I did it! I actually went in the sea! Properly, up to my neck, I evan swam! At Gunhill, our fave beach here.

This may not be unusual for some of you, but my Dad's Maltese, I learnt to swim in the Med and was brought up thinking only insane British types went in the sea off these shores. Grin

It was bracing, to say the least, but I could stand that but the stones were murder on my feet!

Oh, the thread has been moved, that's not good, I like to keep a different name for local.

Mrs Blondin, I sympathise! I was on the beach at Thorpeness a couple of weeks ago. The sea temperature was bearable, but the pebbles were murder on my feet. I recommend footwear you can wear till over the breakers, then chuck back to the shore.
