Mother called a SLUT(!) for breastfeeding her baby in Purley Costa

I noticed this in the local Advertiser yesterday:

I assumed this was going to be the usual story about a mum being told by staff that she may not breastfeed but the story is quite different from that.

Did you breastfeed when out in Croydon? Did you ever receive any comments. Where was the best place to breastfeed for you?

I read this in the national press. Just amazing. I feel so sorry for the mum involved but hats off to Costa. I wonder which Costa it was - different newspapers have different branches in their photos.

I breastfed my babies and never found it a problem - from sitting in M&S café to sitting on a bench in the Whitgift Centre. I really wasn't aware that people were looking at me - much to be said for proper breastfeeding tops.

Just remembered the one time someone was rude to me when I breastfed - it was at Mayday Hospital and a midwife shouted across the room that I was doing it wrong - thanks love!

Finding somewhere 'naice' to change a nappy was a different kettle of fish though!
