Canary Wharf - schools in the area or with bus service- help!

Hi, My DS will start reception in 2016. Need some advice on good schools in the area. I live and work in CW so either a school nearby or one that has a bus service would be ideal.

Looking for Independent schools at this time with good exit data to the London Day schools (Westminster/City Of London/Whitgift etc) and extracurricular development- music and sports.
Any advice or suggestions from mums or dads with DC in schools around Canary Wharf or one with a bus service to CW?

Thanks much

Do1ngmybest, have you checked schoolguide.co.uk?
I actually found this site through Mumsnet Tower Hamlets :). If you go to to the list of primary schools on Childcare and Education and click any school you are interested in you will find "Get more information" button which shows you more detailed numbers.

For instance: local.mumsnet.com/tower-hamlets/primary-schools/195401-harbinger-primary-school

Hope it helps.

Gatehouse School definitely used to do a school bus to Isle of Dogs so probably still does, and it's a lovely little school. I have quite a few friends with DC there who are very happy with it but also know someone who found it wasn't academic enough and moved her DC.

There's also Riverhouse which would be a short walk from CW which might suit you depending on your DC's personality. My DS went to pre-school there and loved it but only got as far as autumn half-term in reception. They were nasty bitches to him and it took until December before he could be calmed down enough to start at another school. He has since been diagnosed with ASD, but doesn't need a special school just one without the rigid formality of Riverhouse. It would be ideal for the shy, geeky, studious type though.

I read old reviews about Riverhouse school a while ago:www.mumsnet.com/Talk/preschool/934386-Best-Preschool-Nursery-in-South-quay-Canary-wharf/AllOnOnePage
