Where can I donate/give away extra food I have at home?

This Christmas we received a lot of presents from friends, families and neighbours. Toys and clothes have found already their new possessors :)
but I don't know what to do with sooo much food: mince pies, chocolates, cakes and bisquettes. On top of that I have canned vegetables and fruits, breakfast serials I don't need any more. They are not expired yet (most of them can be used by Nov 2014).

Where in this borough can I donate or give them away?

You can donate to Tower Hamlets Foodbank here.

I would highly recommend you to donate your food to one who really needs it, the one who might die tomorrow because of hunger and cold.
A group of ladies are collecting food and clothes for syrian children here:

Thanks girls for your comments!

Just a few questions:
tethersend, who they will give food? Homeless people?

Gotowerhamlets, is it legal? Can they collect from home?
