I'll start. The way people pitched in and helped last Friday.

Pffft, way before last Friday we had big Smeato taking down a couple of terrorists at the Glasgow airport shenanigans.

Because the people are so friendly and welcoming. I have friends from all over the world who now live in Glasgow and they all rave about the welcome they have received. It's not just that anyone will strike up a conversation with you anywhere, it's that when they say they're happy to help, they mean it

My parents emigrated to Glasgow when I was wee and made it their home. When I was in my teens we emigrated to NZ. Within 2 years we had come back as they were homesick for the city.

I agree. I am on a thread on Facebook at the moment where someone is looking for people to donate presents for poor children in Glasgow and she's had so many replies already.
