Moving to Exeter but work in Taunton- any advice on areas?

Hi All,

I just wondered if anyone has any advice on a good area to live in Exeter, my husband and I work in Taunton but would love to be in Exeter.

Would like to be as close to the city centre as possible, however open to compromise, and need to consider the proximity to Taunton too.

I used to do this many years ago. Commuted via train (only 20 mins, bliss!) so if you're going to do this, recommend Exwick, St Thomas & St Davids. If you're going by car then you'll want to be as close to the M5 as possible (rush hour in Exeter is bananas) so try Pinhoe, Digby, Broadclyst.
