New to Derby and looking for new friends for playdates and cuppas

Hi
I moved to Derby from Leeds when I was 38 weeks pregnant with my second son. Now my boys are two and a half and 12 weeks and I am really wanting to meet other mums with children of a similar age. My 2 year old really misses his Leeds friends and at classes we mostly meet newer mums with babies. I am a sahm now and would also love to meet mums to share playdates and chats over a cuppa.

Oh and forgot to mention I live in Littleover!

Hello!

I'm Littleover too.

Try the toddler version of Heatherton Babies. It's at Haven Church in Heatherton. Wednesday morning at 9:30am. It's for 2 years and over ( and their siblings). I take my 3 yr old and 1 yr old sometimes and it works quite well.
They've got lots of volunteers and the kids can't escape! They do games, painting, messy activities, singing, general running around and chaos but there's a baby corner too so your baby shouldn't get trampled! Grin

Welcome to Derby! Grin

If you decide to go to the Preschool club (can't think what it's called!) at Heatherton let me know and I'll meet you there with my 2 children.

Thanks michellederby. That is such a lovely offer. I actually have my two yr old in nursery on Wednesdays cos we were getting worried about him being so upset about leaving his friends behind! He loves nursery so that has helped. Are there any other toddler groups you'd recommend? The one at littleover methodist church has a waiting list which we are on.

I took my DD to the toddler group at the Methodist church for a while before I had DS. Seems pretty good. Clean and secure with plenty to do. We lost our place there when I was ill when pregnant and never got round to going back on the waiting list.

There aren't many groups that cater for parents of 2 different age children around.

Hello Anniernewmum,

I am new to Littleover too. I arrived 3 weeks ago from France and I have a 2 months old baby.
I am also a sahm and I would like to meet mums to chat a bit.
Let me know if you want to meet.

Have a nice day
