I am the Community Fundraiser for Derbyshire for Marie Curie Cancer Care and to help us raise awareness and funds for the charity we set up fundraising groups across the UK.
These groups are a fun way to meet new people and to help the charity. Groups will help us with some of our campaigns throughout the year and organise their own events from craft fairs to tea parties, and curry nights to fashion shows.
I am currently looking at setting up a new group in Derby, and have currently been looking at bringing together our volunteers from the Chaddesden, Spondon, Allestree and Darley Abbey areas.
I am holding an informal information meeting on 4th September at Asda Spondon.

Other Fundraising Groups we have across Derbyshire are: Alfreton, Belper, Chesterfield, Glossop and Swadlincote.

Marie Curie Cancer Care provides free nursing care to individuals with terminal illness in the comfort of their own homes.
