I am considering buying a house in Appleton Thorn, Cheshire

I was wondering if the nearby prison causes any problems to residents in terms of noise or any other inconveniences, I would appreciate any feedback and also if Appleton Thorn is a pleasant friendly place to live and bring up children?

My children go to the school there although we don't live in Appleton Thorn. The prison doesn't seem to cause any problems and plays a part in community events. The estates there are full of children and they all seem to know each other so it seems to be a lovely place to live. The main downside is no play park/area for children to play in and no local shop.
