There are 7000 girls on the waiting lists in the Greater Manchester Area. Often all that is needed is one more adult in a unit to be able to increase the numbers. For example, one extra adult can let 8 more girls join a Brownie Unit.
I don't know anyone who hasn't got more out of guiding than they have put in. It's lots of fun, you can make really special things happen, and you get to meet other adults.
It looks great on your CV, and there is are a range of qualifications you can work towards (including first aid).
If you think you can offer a couple of hours a week, then PM me, and I'll try and hook you up with a unit in your area. Or you can google "join us" and find a unit in your area.
Any questions, PM me. Volunteering as guide leader is the single best thing I have ever done.
