Seeking Brighton or Sussex school for ADHD/aspergers son - any advice??

We are moving back to the UK (from the US)within the next year and need to think about which secondary school will suit our son. We will be mov g back in time for him to start senior school. He has adhd and mild aspergers which basically means he has a hard time making friends and focussing in class. Our experience is that we need a nurturing, caring school that will support him with social situations and help him focus in class and get organized. We can pretty much move back to any area in Sussex or Brighton and will do that for the right school for him and would love to hear from any parents with experience of these issues in the secondary schools in this area. We are open to state or public, although we will struggle to make the public school fees but we will if it is the right place for him. We have experienced unhappy school years in the past for him and can not face going through that again. Can anyone help???

Hi, I noticed you haven't had any replies. I'm afraid I'm not much help as my son is severely autistic and attends SN school, (which is fabulous and to be recommended but I've no idea about MS schools.
The only thing I can suggest is that you contact Amaze who are lovely and helpful and might be able to give you some advice.

There is a specialist unit for kids on the autistic spectrum at Rudyard Kipling school in Woodingdean. I know one dc who goes there, and the parents feel they made the right choice to move their child from another Brighton school.
