What is like living and going to school in North Baddesley or Fair Oak?

I see that both villages have very good infant and junior schools. I have tried to find a house to rent via rightmove just to see the choice but there is practically hardly anything. Are these villages too small or are most of the houses owned? We will probably move to Hamshire this summer so I am doing research on primaries.
Many thanks.

I don't know those particular villages, but where I am rented houses don't always make it on to Rightmove, demand is so high that agents don't always have to advertise. Definitely worth calling local agents and badgering them often, if they can rent out a house without having to advertise it they will.

Thank you wonderstuff. I think this is what we are going to do otherwise we will be left with nothing. I also think we will try other schools.

Good luck with it all. I'm in a village north of Winchester, I really love Hampshire. I would say wrt schools, that if you find a nice village I would take OFSTED with a pinch of salt. My DD's school is 'good with outstanding features' I think - she loves it - but a couple of years ago it was on notice to improve and couldn't find a permanant headteacher. A good school now is no guarentee of of a good school forever.

Oh thanks wonderstuff. You give me some hope :) I now pay attention more to the performance tables than to reading OFSTEDs. Thanks again.

I live near Fair Oak and the schools (infant, junior and secondary all on the same site) are all big but have a very good reputation. My two girls will be going there when they start school. The nursery/ pre-school is brilliant and my girls love it. I also know someone who teaches at north Baddesley junior school and that is also a very good so I would recommend living in either village.
