Would anyone be interested in a kids' nearly new/second hand sale? Nr St Ives.

I've got a shedload of stuff to get rid of (boys' clothing mainly) but I don't want to Freecycle it all, and I keep missing the NCT sales. I was wondering about booking our local village hall (I'm on the committee Wink) and seeing if any other mums locally would either like to join in with selling their stuff, or coming to buy.

The usual arrangement with our village hall is that sellers pay something like £5 to get a table, and the hall committee put on teas/coffees/cakes etc.

Would anyone else be interested? I'd need a few sellers to make it worth the effort of advertising etc.

There is a Nearly New Sale on 2nd November at Wood Green of the type that you describe (table top where you keep all the money). Should be a popular one with lots of buyers given the venue.

Hmm. I'm tempted to float something for Sept. Had better check that it doesn't clash with the NCT sale though. If I advertise it widely enough we should get some buyers/sellers.

Huntingdon NCT usually has a nearly new sale in November but I think it's just toys.
