Cross-over artist, Emilia Telese is looking for pregnant women to take part in the shooting of a short film and photograph on Sunday 13th Jan.
For Life Begins @ Land's End, pregnant women will walk on Cornwall?s Land's End and form a Third Paradise symbol by joining together, to celebrate a new beginning in their life. The work explores rites of fertility, pregnancy and rebirth.
After the performances, Life Begins @ Land's End will create a series of workshops throughout Spring 2013 involving young parents and pregnant women from diverse social and cultural backgrounds, in collaboration with Cornwall's young mothers association WILD, to explore and examine the idea of birth, pregnancy and life's rites of passage, to culminate in an iconic, filmed and photographed performance.
The project will be exhibited at the Musee du Louvre, Paris, within the exhibition "Michelangelo Pistoletto, année un - le paradis sur terre? in spring 2013.
Women who are interested in taking part would need to be based near Penzance or Porthcurno. Hot drinks and cake provided!!
