Does your child or a child you know suffer from dyslexia?

The Psychology Department at Bournemouth University is carrying out research into children?s reading and language processing and is currently looking for child volunteers. We are looking for children aged 7-11, who are native English speakers, with normal or corrected-to-normal vision and a diagnosis of dyslexia.

Our current research measures children?s eye movements as they read sentences from a computer screen. In addition to recording children?s eye movements as they read, we will also carry out simple reading and spoken language tasks.

All testing sessions will be arranged at your convenience and will take place at the University. In addition, the eye tracking procedure is entirely harmless, and will not cause any distress at all to participants. We have found so far that children have been extremely enthusiastic in their participation and have enjoyed the experience!

If you and your child would like to be part of this research or would like any additional information, please reply to this post and we will provide you with all the information you require.

Thanks for your time! :)
