Sessions Start 17th November
Over the last year we have been asked more and more about teaching very young riders (U5s) to ride. We have had a few younger siblings come to club sessions and races with balance bikes, so we have decided to create some activities for these weeny riders.
Wigmore Weenies will be run by our Balancability Instructor Jody Coxon, and will use the hall at the Howard School to coach basic balance skills, with the goal of riding a pedal bike. Jody has a fleet of balance bikes to use, which have working brakes and proper tyres.
Sessions will be from the Balancability program, which was featured on ITV 4's "The Cycle Show" this summer! The sessions aim to help children develop the skills they need to be competent riders on balance bikes and progress to pedal bikes. Once they have developed the necessary skills on a pedal bike they can then progress to Wigmore CC Go-Ride Club.
Venue: The Howard School Gym
10-11am 2.5 to 4 years balance session
11-12pm 4 years to 6 years pedal bike session
£3.50 per session

If your child would like to borrow a balance bike for the session please call to book a bike!
The sessions will be held in the school gym during the colder months so sports wear and appropriate shoes are perfect kit to glide in!
