We'll go whatever the weather. If you haven't been there before, there are lots of buggy/balance bike-friendly tracks, a Discovery Trail, a little playground and a café. Parking costs £2-4 (depending on how long you plan to stay), but cheapskates like me are sometimes able to find somewhere to park on the approaching/nearby roads (at your own risk, obviously).
