place to hire/ideas for 6th birthday party

we don't want to do kid zone again nor clown town... what can i do or rent?
i tough a hall or a picnic in the park with an entertainer ...
any suggestions of places to hire or entertainers around crouch end muswell hill?

these people hire go karts and you can usually have this type in a hall...as long as it's big enough. They set up a track thing and the kids all have a go.

Fabulous fun! You could do the whole thing in a Grand Prix style with chequered plates and flags etc.

We've use that fabulous Mr Tickle for several of our children's parties. We hired the hall at the Union Church which is a really great space. He comes along and does an hour or two of silly magic, balloons etc - all in his big clown shoes. The kids still talk about him now. He's lovely.

The Harringay Club (part of the Crouch End YMCA) has a great hall that's fairly reasonable to hire and you get use of the nice cafe to use as a kitchen/party tea area. That would be good for the Go Kart idea. It's got a car park which is handy. www.ymcahornsey.org
