The Leys - Kingss Camps for young children - anyone used this holiday club?

Thinking about sending DS1 (5) for a few (5-9) long day sessions (on the flexi-package) during the summer holidays. (works out at £27 per day with the 10% discount for new customers)

He does have alternative childcare at his local schools kids club (which is cheaper, but we can manage), however they are left to 'free play' a lot so something a bit more structured might be nice for him for some of the sessions that we need. We arent that local, but DH works in Bar Hill, so he could do drop offs and pickups for the days he would go.

Does anyone have any reviews/experience/comments on this please?

thanks

Mine both went to Kings Camp for several days the last two summers. DD would have been 6 I think the first time she went. They both enjoyed it - it was more structured than their school kids club (which seems to consist mainly of hot bored children and bored staff in the holidays). The activities are mostly sporty - so if your DS likes that then he'll probably have a good time. They split the age groups up, so he will be with kids roughly his own age. Last year the pool at the Leys was out of use, which was a shame and they didn't tell us beforehand that this was the case (I'm not sure whether it had broken or whether the Leys just decide to do routine maintenance in the summer) - so if that's the main attraction you might want to check on it.
